More Than Cabinet Refacing
We’ve been fortunate to be able to offer our cabinet refacing services to our Hudson neighbors for years. During this time, we’ve met hundreds of our Hudson neighbors. We’ve had the privilege of visiting their homes for consultations and turning their kitchen cabinet refacing dreams into realities. This has allowed us to get to know our neighbors and their families. Moreover, this has continued to make us feel fortunate to be part of such a vibrant and welcoming community. This community we love being a part of is tightly knit, especially during trying times. During these difficult times, the Hudson community rallies together, and our Relay for Life event this past summer is a true testament to Hudson’s close-knit and supportive nature. Please read on to learn more about the truly inspiring details about the event.
Side By Side
This past summer, we were touched to participate in the 2017 Hudson Relay For Life event. We were proud to be part of a dedicated community who chose to come together to support our neighbors, friends, and families who have all been impacted in one way or another by cancer. It was an honor to walk side by side with our neighbors as we honored and remembered those who were affected by cancer, as well as caregivers who dedicated endless hours of support to their loved ones during this most difficult of times. We were truly humbled and touched to be part of such a strong and dedicated group.
It took a team of passionate and caring individuals weeks of planning and coordination to successfully execute this most recent Relay For Life event — and the outcome was truly great: the event raised $63,000, equating to 6300 free nights at a Hope Lodge for a cancer patient and their caregiver and much more! The Hope Lodge offers patients and their caregivers a free place to stay while seeking treatment in an area that may be far from home. This wonderful accommodation and service allows guests to focus on what matters most while away from home: beating cancer. Hope Lodges also provides cancer patients and their caregivers with numerous resources and information about cancer, and the best path forward for battling the disease. Beyond helping our Hudson neighbors receive free accommodation to fight their disease, the event’s Lunch and Learn Team raised $1300, meaning that 130 women will receive a wig — free of charge.
Neighbors and Family
The stress, pain, and emotional and financial toll cancer takes on both patients and their caregivers is staggering. Without the aid of the Relay For Life team and the dedication of our Hudson neighbors, many patients and their caregivers wouldn’t receive the kind of community and financial support that is so helpful during the most difficult times. St. Croix Cabinets is proud to support Relay For Life’s efforts to help our Hudson neighbors and family. If you’re interested in participating, please don’t hesitate to contact The American Cancer Society today to learn more about how to get involved.
